It’s a unique experience that kind of reminds me of my Tokyo trip. In Tokyo, they are all about simple ordering for udon or ramen, you get noodles and then choose your broth plus toppings. Options for side dishes are always tempting but can turn up budget meal.
It’s the first time I had udon in a curry broth. Since it’s any topping goes I went with the sweet potato croquette & tempura for one, wifey did chicken karaage and poached egg. Side of takoyaki to completely spoil myself with all the deep fried goodness. I say the meal was good, not regular rotation though. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a try especially if you got a college student budget.
